We took our annual Yellowstone trip over the Labor day weekend. The reason there are only a few pictures is because that is all Bear and I could muster up to take. The trip was mostly horrible! Last week Eliza got the strep virus again, and so we rushed her in to get antibiotics so that she would be over the worst of it before going to Yellowstone. Well she did get over it, but Isabeau ended up having symptoms the day before we left Yellowstone. I took her into the pediatrician, he checked her ears and throat and all was fine. Children under the age of 3 years apparently can't get strep throat. Isabeau didn't get strep throat, but she was miserable. She fevered for four day's straight, we had to give her Ibuprofen/Tylenol every four hours just to keep the fever down of 102. To make matters worse, Isabeau has serious anxiety, especially when she's away from home and having to sleep somewhere else. The entire trip she just cried, screamed, and said "I want to go home!" It was miserable and so sad. We stayed Thursday, Friday, and left Saturday. It was just impossible. We didn't get any sleep both nights, because she'd wake up hot, screaming and delirious. I was scared, Saturday morning we went to Towers Fall and she was so weak and almost lifeless as she sat in her stroller going in and out of sleep. She wasn't saying anything, just exhausted and so sick. Luckily Brandon, Berry's older brother had consecrated oil with him, so Berry and his dad gave Beau a priesthood blessing for the healing of the sick. The blessing wiped away my fears and Isabeau slept the entire time back to camp. We stopped at camp to use the bathroom and eat some snacks and baby Beau had awaken and was walking around and giggling at Eliza. We were thinking about staying because she was doing so well, but I felt we needed to take her home. She hates to take her medicine, she'll throw it all up if we force it down her throat, it takes some serious convincing on mom and dad's part to get her to take it willingly. But she took it just fine in Jackson and we made it home. Once we were home she was good within a day. She smiled when I put her in her own bed and she just hugged the blankets. It was funny.
We did have somewhat fun in Yellowstone seeing all the animals. Eliza had a blast! I am glad we were able to do a couple of days for her. She saw buffalo, elk, osprey, a mommy black bear and her two cubs climbing a tree to get to the acorns, falcons, and a golden eagle.
This is the parade on Monday in Wellsville. Two days after being home from Yellowstone, Beau is doing much better. We sat by the Thompson's Matt and Jen and Toph and Brittany. Their kids are adorable! Are girls had so much fun.
I just had to take this picture, check out this lady with red hair and no pants! She was standing right next to us at the parade! Priceless!
